10 Keys to Happiness

Friday, 24/2/2017

“It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about.” – Dale Carnegie

What happy people do to stay happy. Here's what I've learned :

1. IT’S OK TO BE SAD
You don’t have to be happy all the time, or even every day. Happy people know that it’s OK not to be happy some days. It’s important to process whatever feelings we have – sadness, anger, frustration or surprise. When bad things happen, as they do to all of us, be gentle on yourself. Don’t past on a false smile. The contrast of negative emotions can be beneficial, because they remind us how wonderful happiness is.

2. BEING HAPPY TAKES WORK
There are things that we can do to increase our happiness every day, but they take a some effort. Things like eating well, exercising, and getting plenty of rest help keep our bodies healthy.Searching out people and entertainment that makes you laugh or feel good, nurtures your soul.Taking the effort to eat right and surround yourself with good people pays off. You feel good to your core.

3. SELF-APPRECIATION IS MANDATORY
You need to learn to love and appreciate yourself, just the way you are. You are just as interesting, unique and remarkable as anyone else.Sometimes it’s hard to see our own best qualities. Or if we see them, we don’t always value them.So make a list of the things you love most about yourself, and remind yourself of these qualities regularly.

4. PEOPLE MUST BE A PRIORITY
We all need to feel loved and appreciated, and spending time with the people closest to us fosters warm feelings. Human beings have always been pack animals – we need to connect with people. When we’re just hanging out, enjoying each other’s company, we’re sending and receiving subtle messages of love and appreciation.Strong relationships help us survive the tough times, as well as celebrating the good times.

5. COMPARISONS ARE FUTILE
Comparing yourself to someone else is always going to end in tears. It doesn’t matter if you compare body shape, bank balances, or boyfriends. There’s always going to be people both ahead of you, and behind you, on any scale. The only person you have to satisfy is yourself.
Try to consider the things that people might envy you for, so you can value those things too.

6. SOMETIMES MEMORIES SURFACE
Everyone has some unpleasant memories. They’re part of life, and trying to suppress them is futile. When we work through the pain and learn to accept the past we’re able to close the door gently on those ‘rooms’ in our mind. We can choose to visit those rooms if and when we feel inclined. But we can also gently close them off, so that we can grow and heal.Your memories are part of you, so carry them with grace.

7. OVER ANALYSIS IS YOUR ENEMY
We’re all capable of analyzing a situation to death. Wondering whether someone else’s actions have deeper meanings than they do, or endlessly turning things over in our mind. It’s fine to think about situations, and establish what you can learn from them. But sometimes our mind gets a little obsessed and repeatedly churns things over, on an endless, self-flagellating loop. When this happens think, Thanks Mind, and move on to other things.

8. ATTITUDE CAN BE CHOSEN
Choosing your attitude is easier said than done. I never used to believe it was possible. But it is.The key is to change can’t to can. Whenever you find yourself thinking that you can’t do something, it’s important to stop and force yourself to think about what you can do.Try thinking, ‘If someone could solve this, how would they do it?” Distancing yourself from the problem in this way opens up new ideas, and pretty soon you’ll be capable of anything.

9. LIVING HAPPENS NOW
Don’t put off living. We tell ourselves we’lI happy when the kids are older, or when we get the next pay rise, or when we get a new job.But when we get those things we put off being happy until we achieve the next great milestone.Happy people live now. They feel now. They love now. This doesn’t mean they don’t have goals, but they appreciate what they have now.No one knows how many tomorrows they’ll have, so make sure you live today.

10. HAPPINESS IS NOT FOR SALE
Sometime we don’t realize that all those little ‘rewards’ we buy ourselves are really a way of compensating for a lack of satisfaction in some aspect of our lives. If you’re living for your next holiday, or wondering why the latest tech toys don’t make you happy, it might be time to look a little deeper.Maybe you’re trying to buy yourself some happiness, instead of addressing a major issue in your life. Maybe – only you will know.

Happy Valentine's Day

14.2.2017

Happy Valentines Day dari saya :) magie n me

Biar orang mempermainkan kita tetapi jangan kita mempermainkan orang okay.

Jangan kita terus menyalahkan orang lain melainkan diri kita sendiri. Orang bijak pandai berkata, setiap kegagalan mengajar kita erti manisnya sebuah kejayaan. Senyum. Senyum itu perlu dari hati. Kalau bibir senyum tetapi hati mati, jadilah senyuman ngeri. heee ;p

Apapun yang terjadi dalam hidup kita, percayalah all things are done according to God's plan. Yakinlah akan selalu baik pada akhinya. Amen :)

Thank you. Happy Weekend!

 i miss you toink2

Consider a situation..

8/12/2016

Consider a situation: You're eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears.

After scolding her, you turn to your wife and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your wife must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 80 km an hour in a 60 kmph speed limit. After a 15 minute delay and paying a $60 traffic fine, you arrived at school. Your daughter runs to the building without saying good-bye.

After arriving at the office 30 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to going home. When you arrive home you find a small wedge in your relationship with your wife and daughter. Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the traffic policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is D.

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say "It's OK honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase. You come back down in time look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You and your wife kiss before you both go to work. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good a day you are having. Notice the difference. Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different. Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% is determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 secret:

If someone says something negative about you, do not be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out, etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound the steering wheel till it fall off? Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the blue car ruin your drive.

Remember the 90-10 principle, and do not worry about it! You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep or get irritated? It will work out. Channel your energy and time into finding another job. The plane is late. It is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why vent out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to read, get to know the other passengers, etc. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 secret. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results.

STOP CHASING PEOPLE & START CHASING YOUR DREAMS

13/10/2016

Last night I got into a heated discussion with a friend of mine who happens to be a relationship expert.  We were discussing the “person with a lot of options” dating type.  This type has the package of looks, success, personality and appeal that makes him or her desirable to a lot of people.  Often, the “person with a lot of options” resists settling down and uses having lots of options as a reason to not commit to any one person (they are having too much fun enjoying not having to choose just one person). But my friend asserted that it is possible to convince the “person with a lot of options” type to pick you.  He went on to say that if someone is really wowed by someone and “played” correctly, they can be convinced to change their willingness to commit.

Whether that is true or not true is irrelevant to me.  The bigger question is why in the world would you try and convince someone to be with you? Granted, at the beginning of any relationship there is some wooing that goes on.  When we first start dating someone, it’s natural to put a little more effort in so the other person knows that you like him/her.  But there is a line between wooing someone because you are mutually interested in relationship and convincing someone to be in a relationship with you when they are not looking for one.

Have you crossed the line? Here’s how you know: when someone is clear that they are not looking for a commitment and you are, do you hear that information and know that is your time to opt out because your values don’t align? Or do you start to think of ways that you could possibly convince this person to pick you?

If you choose the latter, then you are entering into what I call relationship gaming.  It starts when we start to ignore our top values and our ego comes in and says, “I want what I want and I’m going after it.”  You then start thinking of ways to manipulate, convince and strategize your actions to get what you want.  There is nothing wrong with relationship gaming if you want to build a relationship based on strategy rather than authenticity.  But if you want an authentic, intimate, spiritual partnership, get out of the game.

I also challenge you to be honest about how much you truly value commitment. If you are chasing after someone who does not want to commit and judging that the other person has fear of commitment, look in the mirror.  If you truly value commitment, why are you going after someone who doesn’t? The truth is that you may fear commitment also. As much as you say you want someone to be in a loving, intimate and committed relationship with you, part of you may not think it’s possible.  Maybe you’ve been hurt in the past by a committed relationship and unconsciously you are putting effort into a relationship that will never become committed as a way to protect yourself.  Or perhaps you have some limiting beliefs about your worthiness, which are fueling your pattern of chasing after crumbs. And as much as you want to receive love, there is something about it that scares you.

Now back to my friend’s point of being able to convince someone that doesn’t want a commitment to commit to you.  As great as the “person with a lot of options” type may seem, if they do not value commitment and you do, then is the person really that great?  We often get so mesmerized with the attributes of a person (i.e. what they look like, their personality, what they do in the world, etc.) that we overlook their values and what they are actually telling us they want! And when you do “get” them, you may not even want them because you’re probably more in love with the fantasy than the actual person. Furthermore, don’t you want the experience of choosing AND being chosen?  Are convincing and chasing really part of the love story that you want to tell?

We’ve all heard stories about serial daters and commitment phobes who finally change when they meet their “match.” But here is what I have observed about this phenomenon: it is true that we can be catalysts for another person’s change, but in most cases in order to be that catalyst we have to be totally unattached to being it. Let’s go back to the “person with a lot of options” type.  Even those types fall in love and settle down, but usually not with someone who went into the relationship tolerating his/her lack of commitment and with a motive to change him/her. It is detachment, acceptance and honoring our own truth that often creates the inspiration for someone to find the truth within his/herself. That said, don’t try to strategize about how to be unattached about changing someone, hoping they will change — that is still attachment!

My encouragement to you is to be ruthlessly honest with yourself about whether or not you are dating or chasing.  You are worthy of a relationship that you do not have to chase after.  You deserve feeling peace in your relationship. You are deserving of someone who shares your values. You have a huge heart with so much love to give and if someone isn’t “choosing” you, why do you keep choosing him/her?!?!?

Take back your power and pursue a relationship with wooing but not chasing.  Choose wisely someone who will choose you back.  Most importantly, choose to honor and respect yourself first.  Trust that we all have a lot of options when it comes to relationships, but that the one relationship we MUST have is the one with ourselves.  If you want to attract a wonderful, loving partner who treats you the way you want to be treated, you will do that when you love yourself and treat yourself with respect, kindness and love.   So stop running after someone else.  Choose you. Pick you.  Chase you.

P/S : Being yourself as you are and being honest the whole time will bring true love. The games should be short lived if it's real.  If not, it will naturally fall apart or never come to fruition.

Thursday sayings..

Hi to all!!

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle okay! As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.

Reality is always true to itself. When you’re in harmony with it, you experience bliss. As soon as you are not in harmony with it, you experience pain. This is the law of the universe; it is the way things are. Nobody gets out of this law.

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so and feeling good about yourself is the best sleeping pill of all. smile:p

But first, let me take a selfie!!珞

My bff said, "selfie is the best treatment for stress." haha.. Tq ross.

Mutiara Kata

11/5/2016

Holla.

Menyambut pagi

Selamat pagi Selasa semua!
Awal-awal pagi dah sampai office.

Anyway..gambar dibawah diketegorikan diluar topik heheeee.. :D

Biar jadi tatapan generasi nanti-nanti hihi. Manatauu dah tua boring-boring boleh la throwback.. hahaha. Selasa mood baju kurung. Baju beli sebab teruja nak join member beraya. Tak lama lagi puasaa..buat yang muslim. Selamat berpuasa. Wish advance hehe.

Tadaa..ini dia tempat mengais mencari bersuap-suap nasi..huhuee. Btw wallpaper supernatural theme kat desktop tu sentiasa menemani dimana sahaja pc kerjaku berada.

Sekian dan terima kasih.

My favorite song right now!

Hello Sunday Funday!!

I love lotsss of songs but this is just my favorite right now! I've been heard for this song for many-many times, This song has very meaningful lyrics but it is not related to my love life. I just love listening to the voice, the beat and the melody of this song, it cheers me up! Feeling aww lol! Anyway, If my life had a theme song I don't really know what it would. I love music and I usually listen to songs that fit my mood at the time. If I'm happy or calm I’ll listen to something that's up beat and feel to it. If I'm sad I’ll listen more to worship-songs or something soft so I can think or sleep and escape whatever’s bothering me, and if I'm feeling energetic I listen to something electronic like techno or remix and feel bangggg the world! hihieeeee! Music is so much more to me than just some catchy beat and words, all music overall are my theme songs in life. :)  And my song for today is "Lazy" by Bruno.

---------------------------------

And tadaaa!!!

This is what happened yesterday night after working more than 8 hours on Saturday!!!
#meminimizestressmaximizelife

It is hard to find balance when you have a busy life and being busy was never my life goal. My goal in life is to enjoy what I do and always find peace. My life may not be going the way I planned it, but it is going exactly the way God planned it! So, let us live life without regrets okay :)=

Tingkatkan Nilai Positif Dalam Diri Anda

Holla!

(pinjam ayat drama jap). Fikir. Fikir positif. Tingkatkan mutu diri kita. Jangan kerana seseorang itu ingin kita nampak cantik, handsome, macho bergaya, berfesyen tip top, kurus, slim, ramping, kita tanpa teragak-agak menukar identiti kita. Kita paksa diri kita untuk mengejar kesempurnaan demi memenangi cinta orang lain. Kita seksa diri kita. Jangan teruskan. Biarlah kita berubah atas dasar diri kita sendiri.

Sekian, terima kasih :)

Ikhlas,
imperfect me
